Navigating school is hard enough.

When our eldest daughter finished Year 7, she brought home her report. ‘Working At’, ‘Working Towards’, ‘Requires Intervention’. She looked at me and asked: "But what does it actually mean?"

I couldn't answer her. Not in a way that mattered.

That night, I discovered something amazing. Her Geography excellence + Tech skills + Drama confidence wasn't just a report card. It was a future documentary filmmaker. A climate solutions designer. A creative technologist.

When I showed her these possibilities, everything changed. Not her grades - her entire outlook on learning. She went from being despondent to being inspired - all it needed was a way to reframe her grades into real-world careers.

So I used these learnings to create ReportSpark, to help other parents of Secondary School children make sense of school reports and inspire their children for bright futures.
